i'm concidered emo by some but i'm really not,,, some people place me in a "rockstar" catagory (i guess they think i look like a rocker...which i dont mind nessisarily) uhhh sorry off topic...

all i'm trying to say is dont try to be something your not, you can look emo and act emo but if its not who you really are then you shouldnt try.

also you dont have to dye your hair black, alot of girl emos have platinum blonde.

grow out your bangs so that they hang in your eyes and straighten your hair.

go on a shoppping spree to hot topic....

studs, black nail polish, chockers, band items etc..

Well could you temporarily dye it black? Or maybe add some red or blue hair streaks. Or what about some emo side bangs :] Get some stlying gel and experiment. Good luck.

Yeah, your hair doesn't have to be black to look emo. I have black hair, and I think its more of the way that you dress that makes you look more like it.

Just so you know, wanting to "look" emo is called scene. And that is soooo steritypical that you would say that you don't cut yourself. EMO'S DO NOT CUT THEMSELVES. THAT IS JUST A LIE. But you may want to get some black clothes, studded belts, bracelets, or necklaces. Black eye-liner, and get some streaks? Youo don't have to have black hair to "look emo". I think that if you got streaks, if would "look very emo" (aka scene)!

not cutting is good choice. but ppl will asume that u cut ur self since u look emo. it will cuase trouble with ur parets. turst me. parents are su ******* controlling and asuming.

in my case, i dresses a bit black..LOL(hip hop/ big T/ southpole, NIke sneaker/ hats) and they got pisssssed.

i get over 4.0 GPA. and they still think im going BAD or wut ever. uggghg. i recommend u not dressing like a emo. but if u r gonna, talk to ur parets, make sure they dont become strict and mean on u. they might even arrange some meeting with the doctors.(depends on how contorlling they r).
