my hair is black and curly, and long. what color highlights i should get. looking for a new style as well,but decided on the long layer cut. would like highlights since i dont really want a dramatic change like to color my hair complete.

you should try dark browns, auburns, and chestnut browns. watever you do, never try blonde. highlights are meant to look natural, like the sun did it. if you intend to do it at home, i would suggest you buy a few different colours of browns and reds and make thin streaks throughout with lighter streaks at the front. youre lucky, with curly hair bad highlight mistakes dont show up at all. so go for it! best of luck.

Please don't highlight! You're hair is very dark and adding any light colour will only come out brassy or yellow!

You're hair is a lovely colour. If you want a change straighten it every once and a while.

If you are really really keen on colour then add some brown bits, but definitely not blond!

you can highlight rainbow!!! or blue or green or red or orange or yellow or purple or brown or whatever or don't highlight!!!

Like medium browns or maroonish or redish somewhere between those. i would go with like a maroonish but whatever you like look online to see pictures and what you think would look best on you! =]
