So. I would really appreciate it if someone can help me in making a new me by the way that I look. I am (an islander) a light skin person and would want to have my hair strainghten. I would also like to have it highlited. So, I need some advice even if its gonna cost me a fortune I still want to create a new look for myslef. I dont mind if I have to cut it too. Just give me some suggestions on how I can change my look. Please

Without a photo, it's impossible to say. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on chemical treatments and so on... curly hair is coming back in style, and it is super-sexy. If you want shorter hair, cut it. It's all up to you, girl!

i would cut it a few inches below my shoulder and get it layered. also go to a salon and ask them wut would they recommend be a good color for ur hair.

mine was like that for a while, but i got it cut to just above mid-back length and had a load of layers put in, then i had my bangs cut to just above my top lip adn i side swept them for a while and it looked good. it all depends on what kinda of hair you have though. if its thick, course, and straight like mine was, then that will work good, as would wavy, fine hair. as for thin, fine hair, get it to shoulder length and have the edges razored, with long layers... that looks good too.

i think u should get your hair cut to about the middle of your back. get shorter layers in the front (ask the hair salon to angle your hair). as for highlights, since u have dark hair, dont go to light for your hair. get honey colored highlights that are thin so that way itll look more natural. and the longer your hair is the more it costs to get it cut and colored. and if u dont want your hair to be the same length, ask for the six point star layering, and if the hairstylist doesnt know what that means, then they shouldnt be cutting your hair. i really hope your makeover goes well, but youll be beautiful anyway.

well first off its a wig....

it just looks like its a bun on the back top of her head with the rest just flat.

try to expertise that bun and you will have it down

maybe look online at stills of the video and print them out and work on it.

do not even waste your money. that is a cheap flat iron that you can get at your local beauty store for about 15$. you need to add 25$ with the 50$ that you were gonna spend on that one and get a professiona one like a chi, made by farouk, or the hardcore by tigi. the hardcore is cheaper, and i LOVE it better. professional irons smooth and seal the cuticle of hair as you slide down the hair. this makes it extremely soft and shiny, but you must get a good flat iron spray to use with them. this protects your hair from the heat. try the "flat iron and shine spray" by tigi. its part of their s factor line. feel free to email me with any other questions. hope this helps.

o, girl, I got soooo tired of my black hair, that I appointed at my hairdreeser's for today. I'll do some nice hazel - brown highlits, a lot of them, to make my hair look lighter, livelier, and warmer. after all, summer is all about warmth, liveliness, and feeling plyful! black hair goes more with the winter time! and, I'll make a lot of layers too. Who's crazy enough to boil themselfs under the hairdrier at summer and to iron their hair? curly, wavy, flicky, a bit messy hair - that looks beach like, summer like, lively and plyful! there goes my wote :)

there may be a definite answer to your question, but a better way of approaching the answer is: see what compliments your appearance better.

there are many different kinds of skirts right? and yes, by some standard.. some are "better" than others. but couldnt you argue certian skirts look better on certian people.

i mean think about hair cuts. yes there are BAD haircuts and yes there are really cute ones. but not every cute haircut looks good on everyone. im sure on some of your friends some look better with long hair, some look better with short, and then theres the lucky who look great with either.

so think about that with hair color and style. you may look fine with either.. you may look better withone.

I think black will always be the "In" color and if you are looking for something that will really bring out your features... Black will be the answer to it...it doesn't matter what is your eye color or skin color...

You should try blue-black, it will be a lil darker compared to natural black.. i like how it looks like a wig!

it doesnt really matter on the colour but for summer hair, definitely soft waves/curls give the more beachy look. it also gives you a more casual and girly look with the tousled hair.

I have been using a Jamaican Hair salon for quite some time now. I get a wash and a deep conditioner and then I get it styled. One day I was too lazy to go to my salon (in Brooklyn) so I went two blocks down to a Dominican hair salon in Harlem (where I live).

I must admit the whole treatment in their salon was better. My hair was washed and conditioned very well, roller set (not done in my salon unless it is a wash and set only) and was styled beautifully.

I have always heard about their salons but never took a chance. Has anyone had a great or not so great experience with a Dominican hair salon???

The only difference in a Dominican salon and your regular beauty salon is the styling tools and products that are being used on your hair.
